Q: How many hours will it take to declutter, organize, or decorate my space?
A: The number of hours required to complete your project will be determined after our initial walkthrough and consultation.

The most common amount of hours (although this is NOT a guarantee that this will apply to your project):

Home decorating - 5 hours per area/room: 3 hours sourcing, 2 hours implementing.

Organizing, decluttering and moving assistance hours depend on the amount of items that need to be processed. 

Q: What’s involved in professional organizing?
A: I will assist you in sorting through your items, categorizing them into those you will keep, donate, or discard. The remaining items will be organized into boxes or containers and labeled accordingly.

 

Q: What’s involved in home decorating?
A: If you're looking to replace furniture, I will select new pieces for you. I'll choose decor items to refresh your space and select paint colors or wallpaper if you want to update your walls.

 

Included:

  • Furniture selection.

  • Paint color selection.

  • Wallpaper selection.

  • Decor selection (such as picture frames, paintings, vases, candles, and plants) usually purchased in-store to ensure quality and that they match your style.

  • Once all furniture and decor are selected and delivered, I will implement them in your rooms/spaces.

 

Not included:

  • Painting walls.

  • Installing wallpaper.

  • Hanging difficult or heavy items like TVs or curtain rods (I can hang small wall art and picture frames).

  • Furniture assembly.

 

Q: What’s the cost?
A: Nassau and Suffolk: $150/hr for home decorating and $95/hr for professional organizing and moving assistance.

Manhattan and Hamptons: $225/hr for home decorating and $145/hr for professional organizing and moving assistance.

Q: Should I declutter or decorate first?
A: It’s best to declutter first before decorating.

 

Q: Do I have to do it all?
A: No, you can hire me just for organizing, moving assistance, decorating, or all!

Q: When is the payment due?

A:

For organizing: Payment is due in full immediately after work is completed (each day).

For decorating: Weekly payments will be determined after the initial walkthrough and consultation, based on the size of the project, the estimated hours required per week to complete it, and the overall timeline for the work.

Reimbursement for online or in-store purchases (such as furniture, decor, bins etc.) is due immediately.
